Description

Phenoxyethanol is a versatile preservative that effectively combats bacteria and yeast. However, it’s not sufficient on its own and needs to be combined with an antifungal agent like potassium sorbate or sodium benzoate, especially in formulations with a low pH. It’s a clear to light yellow liquid, soluble in various substances like water, alcohol, and glycerin.
